The 6th AOZORA Seminar was held in Taipei, Taiwan, Dr. Chi-Wen Chenfs home ground, in December, 2010. Dr. Chen studied at Kagoshima University when he was young under Dr. Gakuji Ito, presently the chairman of the AOZORA Seminar, and has been attending the seminar annually since the 2nd AOZORA Seminar.

The theme of the seminar was gMy Pearls in Orthodontics.h An up-and-coming young orthodontist, Dr. Eric Liou, presented his original treatment mechanics and we, the senior members, also presented our own pearls.

On the second day, we visited The Chang Gung Craniofacial Center. It was a highly admirable facility, with the well-organized system and the smooth teamwork of plastic surgeons and orthodontists. The customary case discussion for young attendees was also very active and energetic, with the occasional writing of Chinese characters to help communications. We were so impressed with the warm and welcoming characteristics of the Taiwanese and, naturally, happily satisfied with the marvelous food, often called gthe best food in the world!
The 6th AOZORA Seminar was a very special and memorial event for all of us. We sincerely look forward to having more seminars held in Taiwan again in the near future.

.....

.....This was my first time to attend the AOZORA seminar. In the beginning of the welcome dinner party, I felt very nervous because I had no experience of attending the international meeting and talking in English to many foreigners. But after chatting with Japanese doctors, I found they are all very nice, polite and warm so that I became easier.

.....The group discussion and case presentation were helpful for us. Every orthodontist shared many experiences and gave some opinions of orthodontic treatment to us. Besides, they taught us Japanese culture which was very interesting and attractive to me. And I was also glad of taking them to night market and tasting Taiwan's food. Most of them changed their impression of gstinky tofuh. We all had a lot of fun!

.....Although this seminar was only held for two days this year, I learned a lot from Japanese and this seminar. I was sincerely honored of meeting all of you! And I will never forget the two days forever!

.....Hope that I will have a chance to attend the AOZORA seminar next year!
